“The Pond of Promises”
​
Surrounded by many expressions of life and colors of love,
Two pure white swans exist within a light that warms their hearts from above.
Together their hearts become one through promises they share;
Promises of love, grace, compassion, and hope-abiding faith to keep their love afloat.
Through these promises their love will survive protected by a greater love no hatred can find,
Their love is now eternal through Him without end;
For the Lord's love is pure and overflowing in the pond of promises.

The stability of humility is having divine love over hate,
The stability of humility is forsaking adversities and relying on faith,
The stability of humility is showing grace, mercy, peace, and love
The stability of humility is enduring hardships as blessings from above.
The stability of humility is practicing devotion through spiritual slumber.
The stability of humility is finding gratitude when we suffer,
The stability of humility is remaining faithful through fear, uncertainty, and impositions.
The stability of humility is forsaking this world to be a Christian,
The stability of humility is loving the Lord more than your own life,
The stability of humility is found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“My Mind's Desire”
I clung to you because you made me all mine,
Lured and enticed by sights and sounds.
Whatever appealed to my mind's desire,
Is where my sight was found.
For so long my mind's desire kept my spirit a slave,
My mind's desire, untamed and resistant,
Swallowing my innocence like dark clouds do the distance;
My mind's desire, no longer will my spirit lay dormant,
Zealous for freedom and life, my spirit is now driven.
Filled with new light that the Lord has given.
I cling to my spirit with absolute faith,
That He will guide me,
Through this I keep my mind's desire
Living dormant beside me.

Through these promises their love will surely survive, protected by a greater promise of love no hatred can find.
Their love is now eternal through Him, without end; For God's love is pure and overflowing in the "Pond of Promises"
